The China Private Equity Annual Report 2009 is one of the serial research reports published by Zero2IPO Research Center in 2009.According to the report, in 2009, the financing and investment in China’s PE market both presented the negative growths and stepped into the downturn. Up till December 31, 2009, 30 PE funds available for the investment in the Asian market (including Chinese mainland) had succeeded in raising US$12.96B, an abrupt decline of 78.8% compared to 2008. At the same time, the PE investment institutions launched 117 deals in total in Chinese mainland, with a consolidated investment amount of US$8.65B, a drop of 9.9% year on year, representing a narrower decline compared to the previous year. In the full year, 80 exits related to the PE firms took place, a rise of 56 ones over a year earlier.
