Mr. Xia joined Tokio Marine Asset Management (TMA) in January 2009. He is responsible for investment analysis, fund due diligence and monitoring. TMA currently manages over $1 billion in private equity assets on behalf of Japanese institutions.

Prior to joining TMA, Mr. Xia has spent there years at investment banking department of Mitsubishi UFJ Securities as a vice president, where he was structuring and underwriting structured credit products such as CDO, CLO and MBS. He also was responsible for some principal investments in credit related funds. Prior to that, Mr. Xia was a quantitative analyst at Mizuho Securities. His main responsibility was developing pricing and risk management model for structured credit products. Mr. Xia began his career in Japan from Nikko Cordial Group. Before he came to Japan in 1998, Mr. Xia has worked at China National Automotive Import and Export Corporation and another trading company.

Mr. Xia holds a MBA in finance from Hitotsubashi University and a bachelor degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Mr. Xia is a chartered member of The Security Analysts Association of Japan.
