Sean He is a Managing Director of The Carlyle Group focusing mainly on growth capital investment opportunities in China. He is based in Hong Kong. In the last few years at Carlyle, Mr. He led several high profile executions including Target Media, 9you, Shanghai An Xin Flooring, HaoYue Education Group, China Agritech, Hong Hua Oil and Xtep. Mr. He was selected as one of the most influential venture capitalists in China in 2004 and one of the best PE investors in China in 2006 and 2007 by Fobers.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. He was an Associate Director of Intel Capital where he was responsible for venture capital investments in the Asia-Pacific region.  Mr. He led eight investments in China, Taiwan and Singapore.

Before that, Mr. He was an Investment Manager with Nikko Global Asset Management (HK) Ltd managing a Greater China Fund. Previously, Mr. He worked as a Senior Research Analyst at DBS Securities. Prior to business school, Mr. He was a consulting engineer at CH2M HILL Engineering Co. in Canada.

Mr. He received his Bachelor of Engineering from Zhejiang University, China, a Masters of Engineering at Carleton University, Canada, a Masters of Business Administration at Schulich School of Business, York University, Canada and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
