Darren Wong is the head of Adveq’s investment practice in the Asia-Pacific region and the head of Adveq’s Beijing office. He is in charge of all of Adveq’s commitments in Asia and Australia and is responsible for managing all past investments in the region. He is also a frequent speaker at private equity conferences across Asia.

Before joining Adveq in 2009, Darren worked in the private equity arena for nine years, most recently at HRJ Capital, where he was responsible for global venture capital and Asian private equity funds. He also worked at GIC Special Investments, where he focused on investing in venture capital firms and technology startups. Prior to that, Darren was involved in various technical and operational capacities in the IT industry for eleven years.

Darren has a Master's Degree in Urban Information Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems from the University of Tasmania, Australia.
