Ping Xu

Vangoo Capital Partners, Beijing Chairman & CEO

Xu Ping is a Founding Partner of Vangoo Capital Partners (Vangoo), a China and Japan focused growth capital fund. Vangoo is a pioneer in successfully operating a off-shore fund which invested by the first class institutional investors in Japan and several on-shore funds registered in China. Xu Ping has more than 10 years’ experience in equity investment in public stock and private equity markets in Japan and China.

Prior to founding Vangoo, she was Managing Partner of Ant Capital Partners, which is one of the leading private equity firms in Japan under management of more than US$1.8 billion funds. Since joined Ant Capital Partners in 2005, she was responsible for investment in China as well as value adding on Japanese portfolio companies by introductions of China market or investors. She lead the deal of Honma Golf Co., Ltd., one of most key portfolio companies of Ant Capital Partners to let transferred it’s ownership successfully to a Chinese business corporation. Xu Ping structured and set up the first RMB fund jointly with Tianjin Teda Group for foreign investors in 2008. She has also introduced one of top Japanese Commercial banks’ fund into COFCO’s Agricultural Indsutry Fund at first time, which Vangoo has taken a role of founding member of General Partners together with COFCO and other institutional domestic and international institutions in 2011. Xu Ping has been independent from Ant Capital Partners by acquiring of Vangoo Investment Partners as Management Buy Out (MBO) in 2011 and relocated its head office from Tokyo to Beijing with a new name as Vangoo Capital Partners in Beijing.

She served as an important bridge for the prosperity of the commerce and investment opportunities between China and Japan owing to her strong connections in Chinese-Japanese business and political realms based on her more than 15 years working in financial industry. Xu Ping received B.A. in Economics from Keio University. She also serves as the Deputy Director of Finance Department ofChinese Camber of Commerce in Japan.
