Wang Jiansheng is a Partner based in the Actis Beijing office. Before joining Actis in August 2009, Mr. Wang was Managing Director of Cerberus Beijing Advisors Limited which is the Chinese operation of Cerberus Capital Management – a New York-based leading private equity firm.

Prior to joining Cerberus in March 2008, Mr. Wang spent 15 years with the International Finance Corporation ("IFC") of the World Bank Group.  His last position was Principal Investment Officer in the East Asia and Pacific department in charge of developing IFC's investment activities in China's financial markets. 

From 1988 to 1993, Mr. Wang was an economist at the International Monetary Fund, where he worked on macroeconomic adjustment and financial restructuring programs in many developing countries, mainly in Africa. 

Mr. Wang has received BA degrees from Beijing Language Institute and Haverford College, and MA and PhD in economics from New York University.
