Wen Yong joined JAFCO Asia in 2001 and is currently Director responsible for the investment activities in PRC, with special focus on privately-held technology companies established by the PRC nationals. He serves on the Boards of  Cgogo Technology, Leadtone Wireless, Dhgate, hiu! Media and Tarena International. Previously, he led or served on the boards for the JAFCO China's Investments in Ambow Education Holidings (NYSE AMBO),hisoft International Technology (NASDAQ HSFT),  Pollex Mobile (acquired by Media TeaK TSE 2454),Photonic Bridges (acquired by Siemens) and Jilin Qifeng Chemical Fiber (HKSE 00549),  Wen Yong joined JAFCO Co., Ltd. (“JAFCO”), in Tokyo, in 1998 and was assigned to JAFCO Asia in 2001. In JAFCO Japan, Wen Yong served in the Investment Planning Department, focusing on the PRC market. He also supported the “Sino-Japan Joint Venture Project” on behalf of JAFCO’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining JAFCO, Wen Yong spent one year in the Account Department of Shanghai VW Motor Corporation in China.

Wen Yong was born in Shanghai. He earned a Bachelor of Industrial Management from the Shanghai Jiao Tung College and a Master of Arts in Business and Commerce from the Tokyo International University.
