Wang Shouren, presently as Secretary-General of Shenzhen Venture Capital Association and special research of PKU Venture Capital Research Center, served at government organizations in charge of macroeconomic management work for several years, then taught in Renmin University and Shenzhen University and made research on subjects such as economic management, economy of Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao and joint-stock economy

As a member of Shenzhen municipal government's think tank, Wang ever played a role in promoting group operation of Shenzhen's joint-stock economy and enterprises. He later served as SEG Group's Strategy Research Department Director and Chief Economist of Chinese Rural Development Trust's Hong Kong Group. He engaged in large-scale BOT fundraising, planning of IPOs, asset restructuring, M&A and foreign VC fund management activities and is frequently invited to participate in discussions and consulting on amendments to economic regulations.

Wang presided over Risk Control Committee of Shenzhen Capital Group, the largest VC investment institution of China, during 1999-2004, conducted profound research on domestic and overseas VC and Secondary Board Market and published over 100 papers and reports based on China's reality.

Wang gained a Master's Degree in Economics from Renmin University of China in 1982.
